Technical Screen Printing & Heat Transfer Courses

The range of equipment that is utilised during the printing coursesGJS Machinery has recently renovated a new 150 square metre training facility at our factory complex in Padstow – NSW.

This new facility houses over 20 new, high quality, pieces of machinery offering the latest technology. These will assist in training people in all different aspect of screen printing, pad printing, plastisol heat transfers, dye sublimation transfer systems, etc. A fully qualified trades person conducts these technical trade courses.

This course is totally designed around the objective of providing students with a first hand experience in the many aspects of the screen printing and heat transfer field and enabling them to confidently produce a quality, multicoloured and perfectly registered print in both textile and graphic area during the course.

What Will I Learn?

At the end of the day, individuals leave with extensive knowledge of the screen printing procedure for both textile and graphics. All attending will take home a 4 colour t-shirt and 2 colour poster which they produced. GJS Machinery will also supply a technical booklet outlining a complete summary of the day's activities.

Classes are held for individuals or groups of up to 3 people to ensure that all students develop a thorough understanding of the process.

Who Is The Instructor?

Dave started out in the screen printing industry as a junior at Mason Duflex. He quickly progressed from hand-bench operator, to semi automatic printing, to fully automatic cylinder press operations and then finally becoming the foreman of the screen printing department.  After 27 years at Mason, Dave moved onto Acme Preston where he supervised the running of the entire screen printing department for 12 years. Not only has Dave had substantial industry experience in the workplace, but has also instructed screen printing classes part time at the Sydney Institute of Technology - Ultimo.

With over 40 years of experience in the screen printing industry and prior teaching experience, Dave provides invaluable information to all those attending one of our courses.
