GJS Machinery today announced the availability of four new large format dye sublimation printers: the subli-trans™ PRO 7880, subli-trans™ PRO 9880, subli-trans DUO™ 7880 and the subli-
trans DUO™ 9880.
Enter into the realm of large format printing with the new subli-trans™ PRO 7880 and subli-trans™ PRO 9880, both of which can be configured as either an eight-colour or dual CMYK hybrid printers. The eight-colour subli-trans™ PRO 7880 and 9880 ink configuration features the widest colour gamut for superb photo quality transfers, while both printers leverage Sawgrass’ wealth of ICC colour profile development experience to deliver consistent, accurate colour for each and every print.
The subli-trans DUO™ 7880 and subli-trans DUO™ 9880 hybrid systems offer the ultimate in flexibility and production for digital printing. Featuring Sawgrass’ patented subli-trans™ dye sublimation and the versatile MultiINK, the hybrid systems are able to produce sublimation transfers, inkjet transfers, screen printing film/positives, photo prints and canvas art printing. The possibilities from one machine are truly endless!
“With the ability to print larger substrates, a plethora of new printing opportunities are available, including lanyards, signage, bar runners, rugs, blankets, larger plaques, sports apparel and much more” said Graham Stone, Managing Director – GJS Machinery. “These new large format printers expand our already comprehensive portfolio of sublimation products and provide our clients with the opportunity to expand into new markets” he added.
All four printers feature a Micro Piezo™ print head, Variable-sized Droplet Technology™ and Epson´s 3.5pl Ultra Micro Dot™ for superior detail. Intuitive controls make for easy set-up and operation. High capacity refillable ink cartridges mean less changes and higher throughput, ideal for fast turnarounds or overnight printing; while large format ink lowers the total cost of ownership.
These advanced printing systems are designed to meet the demanding requirements of printing professionals and combines 24”/61cm (7880) or 44”/112cm (9880) wide printing with extraordinary performance and value allowing digital decorators and screen printers to work faster while giving them the ultimate creative edge.

The Federal Budget contained a number of initiatives that will help small business. The most significant was the expansion of the Small Business and General Business Tax Break so that small businesses can claim a bonus 50 per cent tax deduction for eligible assets costing more than $1,000 acquired from 13 December 2008 until 31 December 2009, and installed ready for use by 31 December 2010.
This is up from 30 per cent announced earlier this year and extends the period of eligibility by six months. To benefit from this Tax Break a small business must have a turnover of less than $2.0 million a year. The expanded Tax Break will be available to small businesses with a turnover of less than $2 million.
All other businesses can continue to access the Tax Break at 30 per cent for eligible assets contracted for prior to 30 June 2009 and 10 per cent for eligible assets that they commit to investing in between 1 July 2009 and 31 December 2009. Small businesses only need to invest a minimum of $1,000 per asset in order to qualify for the Tax Break.
