Gel Retarder

Gel Reducer and Gel Retarder are special solvents which can be used with most screen inks to promote thixotropy. The gel-like structure of thixotropic inks will be found particularly useful for the following applications:

• For printing extremely fine definition without flooding.
• To retain print definition when printing onto textured or uneven surfaces.
• In combination with Constat, to combat the cobwebbing effect sometimes encountered on certain plastics due to static.
• To improve hold out properties on absorbent stocks.
• To ‘shorten’ inks when pad transfer printing.
